A Taste Of Scottish Design In Wachesaw Plantation East Clyde Johnston has created a tantalizing taste of Scottish design nestled along the freshwater lakes and wetlands of this former rice plantation. Strategically placed bunkers and rolling fairways set up the challenge of the spectacular TifEagle Bermuda greens. Scottish mounding highlights each hole. The course plays from five different sets of tees, offering a challenge to the professional as well as the middle and high handicap golfers. Wachesaw Plantation East hosted the LPGA for 4 years including the inaugural Susan G. Komen International LPGA Tournament in April 1997, and also the LPGA City of Hope Myrtle Beach Classic in April 1998. The course record is Meg Mallon’s 62.The world class practice facility offers an expansive teeing area and two large putting greens. A private teaching tee is located at the back end of the driving range.?
