This Jack Nicklaus Golf Design was named the best new golf course in North Carolina in 2007. It is part of the private St. James Plantation, however for a limited tim open to a small amount of outside play.
Hello Fellow Golf Nuts,
I hope the early summer is treating you well, and you are having ample opportunity to get out on the course to get your golf game in shape. We enjoyed a great spring, and the hot weather has held off for most of the spring. Most of the courses are now in the midst of their spring maintenance such that they can have the courses in top shape for the Summer and Fall golf season.
Outside of playing golf at least 3-4 times a week, we have been working dilligently on updating our website such that fellow "golf nuts" can come to the site and share their experiences about playing and staying in Myrtle beach. We have created a blog to facilitiate communication so that everyone can have the most up to date information on course happenings, and anything else pertaining to golf in the Myrtle Beach area.
To kick things off, your fellow Golf Masters have made some posts about our most recent outings. You should find the post on the newest course at the beach most informative. We got to play it this past week, prior to it's official opening in July. It is called the "Reserve Club" and is the 4th course at St. James Plantation. You may be familar with St. James Plantation due to their other high quality courses in Member's Club, Player's Club, and the Founder's Club courses. This Jack Nicklaus course is by far his BEST course at the beach. It will be open to public play to start, before turning private next year. We are in the process of putting together some specials to offer our customers, so you can play it before they make it private. Stay tuned, more information will follow in the coming weeks.
