Hello from “GolfMaster Jerry”. My goal is to provide you with the golf knowledge that you need to plan the absolute best golf package customized to match your specific requirements and budget. Local golf knowledge is the key here. Greens and how they putt are my specialty. Knowing the roll and speed of Bermuda, bent, champions, tif eagle, tif dwarf and Jensen greens is a challenge you all will experience at a variety of courses on the Grand Strand. Each type of grass has a different blade. I learned to play the game we love chasing the small ball in Jamaica.
I was in the hospitality industry and provided golf privileges for our customers at a variety of courses on the island. My first course was the Manchester Country Club in Mandeville, Jamaica. I was able to play most of the courses on the island and especially enjoyed the Caymanas Club, Constant Springs Club, Liguanea Club, Runaway Bay Country Club and Tryall Golf Club. My seven years in Jamaica were great golfing years. I developed quite a love for the sport and as they say “the worst day at the course beats the best day at the office”. Consequently, I found myself more and more on the course and less and less at our hotel property. It’s like being a golfmaster at Golf Trek… someone has to do it.
Originally from San Diego, as a youth I moved throughout the US due to my father’s military career. We lived in Pennsylvania, Maryland, Florida, and Texas. I finished up in high school in Southern California where my initial interest in golf was formed. After college, I had careers in data processing, utility management, retail and the hospitality industry. I am now retired and looking forward to becoming a part of the Golf Trek team of GolfMasters.
