Well, hello there Golf Master Buddy,
The guys had a great time and enjoyed the courses suggested. River's Edge was a great course, but required much skill to master its degree of difficulty. We really enjoyed Farmstead,Carolina National and Lockwood Folly. All three courses were a pleasure to play, and we all agreed that a replay is in the future. Accommodations at Brunswick Plantation were great and exceeded expectations of first time members of the group.
On behalf of the group, I would like to thank Golf Trek, and a special thank you to you Buddy. Your suggestions, knowledge and friendly communication, was greatly appreciated. Nothing like a local contact and a resident of MB, to be our eyes when 26 hours of driving time separates Myrtle Beach and Nova Scotia. We look forward to future communication and assistance with our Myrtle Beach Tour 2008. I anticipate a group of 20 to 24, as we continue to mention the great time had by all, on our Myrtle Beach Tour 2007.
As leader of this group for three consecutive years, I have also received the title of GOLF MASTER from the group, and had two golf shirts prepared with this title on them. Located just south of Myrtle Beach off of S.C. Highway 707. Several holes feature strategically placed island tees and greens. Island Green is built upon gently rolling terrain accented with an abundance of great oaks, giant pines and dogwoods. The clubhouse with its wrap-a-around low country style porch overlooks the Holly #9 island green. The island green hole is a 345 yard par 4 from the blue tee box. If you reach top of the hill--you'll see the green. If you hit your drive over the hill, you'll have a downward side hill lie. Hit short of the hill and you have a blind shot to the island green. A tough finishing hole... a great gambling hole. The Tall Oaks 9 has 9 holes with water and lots of huge trees. Make sure you understand that sign that says "Don't Feed the Gators."
